Die 7"-Singles der Blue Flames sind bei Sammlern und Liebhabern des frühen R&B und des Proto-Mod-Sounds ebenso begehrt wie bei denen, die ihren Ska-Beat genießen.

Obwohl sie bereits vor fast einem halben Jahrhundert veröffentlicht wurden, sind sie bis jetzt noch nie auf Vinyl neu aufgelegt worden. Für Ace war es daher naheliegend, sie auf dieser "Blue Flames EP" zu vereinen. Für die Hülle lizenzierte Ace das Coverfoto von Georgie Fame direkt von dem Originalfotografen Val Wilmer. Dean Rudland würdigt in den Liner Notes auch die Geschichte der Georgie Fame Band. Zu sagen, dass diese vier Tracks großartig klingen, ist eine Untertreibung - diese Blue Flames kochen mit Gas.
