The J. B.’s war eine US-amerikanische Musikergruppe, die in mehrfach wechselnder Zusammensetzung u. a. James Brown, Bobby Byrd, Lyn Collins und anderen Sänger, die mit der James Brown Revue verbunden waren, begleitete; sie traten auch als Einzelgruppe auf. The J. B.’s' beeinflussten nachhaltig viele spätere Gruppen des Funk-Genres. Prince bezeichnete Pass the Peas (1972) als einen von 55 Songs, die ihn musikalisch inspiriert haben. Im Jahr 2015 wurden The J. B.’s für die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominiert. Diese großartige Doppel-CD vereint ihre ersten 3 „Solo“-Alben von 1972 bis 1974.
