Mit 120-seitigem Booklet mit seltenen Fotos und Erinnerungsstücken, einem Terminkalender, der die wichtigsten Ereignisse dieser Karrierephase enthält, sowie Essays, die Elvis‘ Frühzeit zwischen 1954 und 1955 beschreiben.
Hinter der Produktion von A Boy From Tupelo - The Complete 1953-55 Recordings steckt harte Arbeit. Über 1500 Stunden lang widmete man sich der Restaurierung der Aufnahmen, knapp 200 zusätzliche Studiostunden wurden investiert, um das Material minutiös zu remastern. Das Ergebnis klingt atemberaubend. Das Projekt wurde von Ernst Mikael Jørgensen produziert, recherchiert und konzipiert.

Auf Disc 1 finden sich die Masters, die im Sun Studio aufgenommen wurden, einige alternative Fassungen und die vier erwähnten Songs, die Elvis Presley aus eigener Tasche bezahlte

Auf Disc 3 sind sämtliche Live- und Radiomitschnitte versammelt, deren Existenz bekannt ist.
