Die in San Jose ansässigen Ska-Pop-Punker Smash Mouth erreichten 1997 mit ihrem Debütalbum Fush Yu Mang (der Titel stammt von Al Pacino, der im Film Scarface "F*** you, man" sagt) Doppelplatin, dank ihres großen Hits "Walkin' on the Sun". Aber auch der Rest des Albums ist ziemlich klasse, voller klassischer Rock-Augenzwinkern und gipfelnd in ihrer skankin' Coverversion von War's "Why Can't We Be Friends". Und wer hat nicht schon einmal eine überfüllte Bar durch eine Bierbrille betrachtet? Im Gedenken an den Sänger Steve Harwell, der nach langer Krankheit verstorben ist, veröffentlichen wir dieses Album erstmals als LP.
