Neben neun Singles, die in den US-R&B-Charts vertreten waren, enthält das Set auch die fünf Original-Alben von Atlantic sowie 12 Non-Album-Tracks.

Diese umfassende Sammlung des souligen Quartetts (Cissy Houston, Estelle Brown, Sylvia Shemwell und Myrna Smith), das 1967 von Atlantic-Chef Jerry Wexler unter Vertrag genommen wurde, ist die Stimme hinter einer Vielzahl von Hits wie Solomon Burke, The Drifters, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Wilson Pickett und vielen anderen.

Das Album, das chronologisch nach Aufnahmesessions geordnet ist, enthält auch acht Tracks mit Ann Williams, die Cissy Houston ersetzte. Es wurde von Dave Crawford und Brad Shapiro produziert und war ursprünglich für die Veröffentlichung als komplette LP gedacht, wurde aber bis jetzt nie vollständig veröffentlicht.

Mit herausragenden Liner Notes des renommierten US-amerikanischen Autors/Essayisten Tim Dillinger, einschließlich ausführlicher Zitate von Estelle Brown speziell für diese Wiederveröffentlichung, und produziert vom SoulMusic Records-Gründer David Nathan, mit Mastering von Nick Robbins und Artwork von Roger Williams.
