"Field Recordings from the Collection of Mack McCormick" (1958-1971) ist die erste Zusammenstellung von Musik aus der legendären Sammlung von Mack McCormick, die einen entscheidenden Moment der afroamerikanischen Geschichte dokumentiert. Sie enthält nie zuvor gehörte Auftritte nicht nur von Musikern, die selbst zu Ikonen wurden - darunter Lightnin' Hopkins und Mance Lipscomb -, sondern auch von Künstlern, deren Namen selbst den eingefleischtesten Blues-Fans und -Wissenschaftlern unbekannt sein dürften.
