Diese herausragende Sammlung mit 85 Tracks enthält die fünf von der Kritik gefeierten Alben der legendären Sängerin, die zwischen 1972 und 1977 bei Warner Brothers erschienen sind.

Vier der Alben sind mit insgesamt 24 Bonustracks erweitert, darunter Single-Edits und Raritäten.

Außerdem gibt es 16 zusätzliche Bonustracks, die zum ersten Mal auf einer Compilation-Disc enthalten sind. Sie alle enthalten Aufnahmen, die sie mit verschiedenen Produzenten außerhalb der Alben in den Jahren 1973 und 1974 gemacht hat. You Are A Song ist nach einem der sieben Tracks aus den Sessions mit dem Produzenten Tony Camillo benannt und markiert die erste offizielle CD-Veröffentlichung der Warner Music Group. Außerdem ist eine bisher unveröffentlichte erweiterte Version von We Need To Go Back" enthalten, die von Ashford & Simpson produziert wurde.

Sure Thing umfasst Dionnes zahlreiche Aufnahmen für Warner Brothers und dient als oft übersehene, aber musikalisch befriedigende Brücke zwischen ihrem atemberaubenden Jahrzehnt klassischer Hits mit Scepter Records in den 60er Jahren und den über 20 Jahren, die auf "Déjà Vu: The Arista Recordings", einem 12-CD-Box-Set von SoulMusic Records.

Zu den wichtigsten Titeln und Highlights gehören "Then Came You", Dionnes Chart-Hit von 1974 im Duett mit The Spinners, und "Just As Long As We Have Love", die beliebte B-Seite der Single; "You're Gonna Need Me" von der von Holland-Dozier-Holland produzierten LP, "Just Being Myself", das von dem weltweiten Hitmacher Usher auf dem 2004er Album "Throwback" gesampelt wurde, ein seltener 12"-Spezial-Disco-Mix des von Thom Bell produzierten "Once You Hit The Road" und der seltene Groove-Favorit "Move Me No Mountain" von Dionnes Aufnahme mit Jerry Ragovoy.

Geboren am 12. 12. 1940 als Marie Dionne Warrick in East Orange, New Jersey (USA). Sang schon als Kind mit der Gospelgruppe The Drinkards, studierte später am Hart College Offviusic in Hartford, Connecticut. Formierte das Trio The Gospelaires mit ihrer Schwester Dee Dee und ihrer Tante Cissy Houston (geb. Emily Drinkard und Mutter von Whitney Houston). Dionne Warwick und Dee Dee arbeiteten auch als Backing-Sängerinnen in New York für die Drifters, die Shirelles und Chuck Jackson. Komponist Burt Bacharach und sein Texter Hal David wurden auf Dionne aufmerksam.

1962 erhielten alle drei einen Kooperationsvertrag beim Scepter-Label. Zwei Jahre später wurde Bacharach Warwicks Manager und musikalischer Direktor, ihr Repertoire bestand fast ausschließlich aus Bacharach - David-Songs. Von 1962 bis 1987 legte Warwick in den USA eine Hit-Strecke von 57 Titeln hin- ihre erste Nr. 1 ( - 'Then Came You', mit den Spinners) ließ allerdings bis 1974 auf sich warten, der zweite (und bis dato letzte) Spitzenreiter folgte erst 13 Jahre später, 'That's What Friends Are For'. Ihre erfolgreichste Filmmusik war das Titellied zu 'Valley Of The Dolls' (1968).

1974 wechselte Warwick zu Warner Brothers, hängte ihrem Nachnamen ein 'e' an, um dies schon im Jahr darauf wieder rückgängig zu machen. Für ihre vielfältigen Aktivitäten auf dem karitativen Sektor erhielt Dionne Warwick diverse Auszeichnungen.

'Slaves' ('Sklaven', USA, 1969),
“Rent-A-Cop' (dto., USA, 1986),
'Extralarge: Black Magic' ('Zwei Supertypen in Miami - Extralarge gegen Tod und Teufel', USA, 1991).

TV-Serien: unter anderem 'Detektiv Rockford' (1972) und 'Mike Hammer' (1986).
